Editorial Design for "Little Joe" This project explores the psychological dependency of the characters in *Little Joe* (directed by Jessica Hausner) through a visual style inspired by themes of hypnosis and control. My goal was to depict how the film’s characters are differently affected on emotional and psychological levels. I created an experimental font for the word "happiness" by distorting the text using a scanner, symbolizing the sinister nature of technological control in the plot. The font was then refined for better readability while retaining its unique expression. The text layout across the pages was inspired by the director's visual style. I aimed to convey the same palpable rhythm and tension present in the film. By utilizing a grid structure, I ensured organization and balance while allowing the composition to reflect the chaos and dependency of the characters on their surroundings and the innovations affecting their lives. This two-page spread combines analogue typography with a digital layout, creating a dynamic and thematically rich design that highlights the film's growing anxiety and psychological pressure.
